Membership Information
Membership FAQs
Q: What is the mission statement of the Community Business Leader Guild?
A: Our mission is to support and encourage the growth and development of
modern art, education, and community.
Q: Why is membership to the CBL formalized?
A: The CBL has grown exponentially as an under-membership group
since it was founded by Van Stone Downing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in
2015. Through blogs and the Internet, word spread quickly and soon guild
members started popping up everywhere. The original founder of the CBL provided
support and guidance to these new members.
In
2016, the founding member brought together a group of dedicated guild members
from across the country to form the initial CBL Team. The goal was simple:
determine what local members wanted and needed from a national organizational
structure.
Work
is ongoing to support the efforts of local CBLs and build a strong, thriving
international organization that supports the CBL’s mission.
Q: What are the basic requirements for an individual or group
to join the CBL?
A:
An individual or group will need to
develop and adopt the views and mission of the CBL.
Organizational
Structure
Q: How many people work for the guild?
A:
Since the guild's beginnings there
is no working people for the guild. All volunteer. Although there maybe
paid volunteers from time to time at the guild, the guild doesn't have funds
for payroll.
